Go On a Pub Crawl
With over 1,000 pubs; a pub crawl is absolutely one of the best things to do in Dublin! Some popular guided tours include The Backpackers Pub Crawl and Dublin Literary Pub Crawl which are €12-14 euros per person. If a guided tour isn’t your style, head out for a night on the town on your own! Some of the most famous pubs in Dublin include Temple Bar, The Stags Head, The Long Hall, and The Brazen Head; but you are likely to have a great time no matter where you go.

Explore the Cobblestone Streets
You are sure to find charm and history around every corner while exploring Dublin city center. O’Connell Street is the main area full of shops and restaurants. The waterfront offers stunning views of historic buildings and bridges; while Grafton Street is the place to go for shopping and entertainment!

Sample Irish Whiskey at Jameson Distillery
The Jameson Distillery has been in the same historic building on Bow Street since 1780. Enjoy the 45 minute tour complete with a whiskey tasting for €20 euros per person. If you`re feeling extra adventurous; you can also sign up to take a whiskey blending class or a whiskey cocktail making class.

Visit Trinity College
This beautiful college was founded in 1592. It boasts a stunning campus and the Book of Kells which is Ireland’s greatest cultural treasure and the world’s most famous medieval manuscript. Entrance to the college is free, but you must purchase a ticket for €11 euros in order to see the book. While walking through Trinity College make sure to admire the architecture, the artwork and of course the library!

Stroll Around St Stephen`s Green
St Stephen`s Green is a public park in the city center of Dublin. There is a variety of wildlife and many peaceful places to walk around and enjoy nature. Plan to go around lunch and either pack a picnic or stop at one of the numerous food shops in the area.

Learn About Irish History at Kilmainham Goal
Kilmainham Goal is a former prison that closed its doors in 1924 and has since been turned into a museum. You will lean the history of Ireland’s separation from England spanning from the rebellion of 1798 to the Irish Civil War of 1922-23. Many revolutionaries were imprisoned and executed at Kilmainham Goal by the British. Make sure to book this tour a few days in advance in order to get a ticket.
Tour The Guinness Storehouse
One of the best things to do in Dublin if you like Guinness! The tour takes about 1.5 hours and costs €17.50-25 euros depending on the time of day. The Guinness Storehouse is a seven story building modeled after a pint glass offering interactive experiences mixing the brewing heritage with Ireland’s rich history. A pint is included in every tour which you can enjoy from the rooftop Gravity Bar.

Marvel at the Historic Cathedrals
The City of Dublin is full of beautiful historic churches. The architecture is stunning and many allow you to take tours inside. A few of my favorites include Christ Church and St. Patrick’s Cathedral; however you really cant go wrong with any option you decide to explore. Because of Ireland`s deep Catholic roots; the grand cathedrals are a must see.

Think Archaeology at The National Museum of Ireland
The Archaeology exhibit of The National Museum of Ireland is located on Kildare Street in Dublin. Find Celtic and Medievil art, the finest collection of prehistoric gold artifacts in Europe, and learn about the bog bodies dating back to the Iron Age. The museum is free to enter and closed on Mondays.
