Mount Engadine Lodge
The lodge was built in 1987 and named after a nearby peak. Open year-round, they work hard to keep the lodge’s environmental footprint as small as possible by utilizing a generator and a battery bank for power.

Walking into Mount Engadine feels like you’re walking into the cabin of a friend or family member. The staff are always warm and inviting, encouraging the guests to make themselves at home.
The main lodge boasts two fireplaces and a living room stocked with games and ample seating. It is also home to the dining room which is lined with large windows to show off the jaw-dropping view.

Looking for a peaceful place to drink your afternoon tea while taking in the area’s beauty? Settle into one of the classic Adirondack chairs on the large, wrap-around deck. From here, you will be able to spot the rope swing anchored in the trees above the lodge.
The Rooms at Mount Engadine
Truly one of a kind, Mount Engadine Lodge features a variety of accommodation options including rooms in the main building, cozy cabins, glamping tents, and yurts. The in-lodge rooms come in a variety of sizes with private ensuites and valley views.

All of the cabins are pet-friendly with mountain view balconies. They include private washrooms with hot showers, towels, and Rocky Mountain Soap Company toiletries. The absence of in-room telephones, computer jacks, or televisions allows you to completely unplug and immerse yourself in nature.
When we visited this winter, we stayed in the Writer’s Studio. This pet-friendly glamping tent includes a fireplace, a king-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a private deck. These tents are an excellent combination of comfort and rustic for an unforgettable stay. They are toasty warm all winter long!

If you are looking for a budget-friendly option, they also offer yurts that are open year-round. These include access to outdoor equipment rentals, the incredible dining experience and the common areas of the lodge while providing a unique, no-frills place to sleep.
The All-Inclusive Meals
Ah, the food. Each stay at Mount Engadine Lodge is all-inclusive, meaning you are in for a treat! This includes breakfast, a packed lunch, and a 3-course dinner. On top of that, you get afternoon tea accompanied by a scrumptious charcuterie board.

Each course was to die for and the staff was lively and welcoming. Mount Engadine Lodge is fantastic at accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences, just make sure to let them know in advance.
We pride ourselves on using locally sourced ingredients and providing guests with a unique dining experience served in a casual and relaxed setting.

They even invited us to bring our dog, Bailey, into the lodge for each meal and brought her out a bowl of water. The pet-friendly aspect of Mount Engadine Lodge was a huge draw for us and we loved how much the staff interacted with her.
Activities in the Area
On top of the wonderful service and drool-worthy meals, one of our favourite things about Mount Engadine is its location. The best part about backcountry lodges is that you are at the doorstep of endless adventure.
Mount Engadine is incredibly unique in that it offers this feature with more accessibility than a true backcountry lodge. In the summer months, you can go hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, trail running, and even try swimming in alpine lakes.

During the winter months, there is access to cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing, fat biking, winter hiking, ice fishing, and more! It is the perfect place to mix activity with relaxation.
