The Location
Ian Anderson’s Caves Branch is located just off the hummingbird highway in central Belize making it an IDEAL place to set up your home base. From here you are within 1-2 hours of Belize City, San Ignacio, Placencia, Hopkins, Dangriga, and The Cockscomb Basin Forest Reserve. The best part: they offer tours to basically ALL of the major attractions in the country from this convenient location! The Property
The stunning property takes up over 58,000 acres of land! This includes the developed lodging area as well as thousands of acres of untouched jungle. The pool and jacuzzi are beautifully landscaped and located next to the inviting dining hall. There are multiple pathways to explore around the cabanas as well as a pathway down to the river. The staff are exceptionally friendly and work very hard to ensure you enjoy your stay.
On the property there are a number of things to do including a tour and tasting at the onsite cheese house! You can also choose to take a free tour through the 15 acres of botanical gardens or walk around at any time on your own. If you’re into cenotes, there is one to explore just outside the entrance to the Lodge!
The Food
Mealtime at Ian Anderson`s is unlike any other dining experience. You are first seated at long tables allowing you to get to know your fellow adventurers. WiFi is turned off during dinner time which we loved! It really makes everyone connect and enjoy the time together. The staff are wonderfully engaging and work very hard to get to know each individual person. Each meal is a buffet style offering multiple courses with diverse options for every diet. The fantastic fresh food is sure to be a highlight of your stay!
