San Francisco is known across the country for its character, color, and great food! The restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries lining the streets all offer a variety of unique and delicious options. There is plenty of information out there on where to get the best brunch, dinner, or coffee in SF; but I was shocked to find barely any recommendations on where to go for dessert! Because of that and (of course) my major sweet tooth; I set out to find the best places to get dessert in San Francisco!
Mr Holmes Bakehouse
Home of the “cruffin” ( a mix between a croissant and a muffin) and a controversial sign; Mr Holmes Bakehouse is a can`t miss dessert stop in San Francisco. Although they are open from early morning until the afternoon; go first thing because they often sell out quick!

Our Recommendations: the “cruffin” of the day, the vegan double chocolate chip cookie, and the matcha croissant.
Bi-Rite Creamery
This adorable little ice cream shop serves some of the best ice cream I have ever had. If that`s not good enough they have fantastic vegan options and are located next to a beautiful park where you can relax and enjoy your frozen treat. Don`t miss the chance to check them out.. you can thank me later!

Our Recommendations: salted caramel, cookies & cream, vegan banana, and honey lavender
Dandelion Chocolate
With a few locations scattered around the city; The Dandelion Chocolate Factory is a great place to grab a chocolate bar, a chocolate drink or a decadent chocolate sample flight. If you visit the 16th Street Factory; you can book a tour or a chocolate making class as well!

Our Recommendations: the frozen hot chocolate, the house mocha, and ALL the chocolate bars!
Kara`s Cupcakes
This local cupcake shop bakes fresh little pieces of heaven on the daily! Kara`s Cupcakes was hands down one of my favorite places to get dessert in San Francisco.

Our Recommendations: vanilla coconut, Kara`s carrot, and the vegan sweet chocolate
The Candy Store
This one-of-a-kind boutique features walls lined with old fashioned candy jars and shelves stocked with the finest confections from around the world. Psst.. you can sample as many different types of candy as you like!

Our Recommendations: sour skulls, gummy whales, and the ultimate malt balls
We hope you enjoy your time in San Francisco! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comment below with your favorite places to splurge on dessert in SF!
