Nevados is a Latin American restaurant with an awesome atmosphere and even better food. Enjoy tapas, tacos, margaritas, craft beer and so much more! In the summer they have a beautiful patio with a separate and equally delicious BBQ menu. Nevados is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Fernie.


Our Recommendations: Coconut Ginger Margarita, Nachos, Pulled Pork Taco, The Jerk Taco, Cauliflower “Al Pastor” Taco, and the Enchiladas.
Yamagoya
Yamagoya came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! They serve authentic Japanese and Asian fusion cuisine in a busy little restaurant. They are packed every night of the week so make sure to get there a few minutes before they open at 5 pm to get a table!


Our Recommendations: Veggie tempura, Gyoza, BC rolls, and the Chicken Teriyaki.
Big Bang Bagels
Big Bang Bagels is the BEST bagel shop I have ever been to. They offer a huge variety of flavors handmade each morning. Try a breakfast bagel, bagel sandwich or take a bag home with you!


Our Recommendations: The AvoLauncher with a pesto spinach bagel, The Switchback Salmon with an everything bagel, and The Monsieur Mighty Moose with a jalapeno and cheese bagel.
The Curry Bowl
The Curry Bowl is a tasty little Asian restaurant serving Thai, Indian, Japanese, and Vietnamese dishes.The food is to die for and the cozy atmosphere is perfect for a quiet night out. Numerous vegan and gluten free options are clearly marked on the menu making dietary restrictions easy to work with here.


Our Recommendations: Samosas, Green Coconut Curry, Pad Thai, and Spicy Chickpea Curry.
Bear Lodge
Bear Lodge is one of two restaurants at Island Lake Lodge just outside of Fernie. The food is outstanding and the views are excellent. Open daily from 11 am to 8 pm it`s a great place to grab some food after a day on the hiking trails.

The Brickhouse
The Brickhouse is located downtown Fernie with a menu full of excellent pub food. They have great nightly specials and often host bands and live DJ`s!


Our Recommendations: The Brie Burger, The Grilled Chicken Pesto Sammy, The Brick House Nachos, and the truffle fries.
The Blue Toque
The Blue Toque Gastro Diner is one of the go to breakfast restaurants in Fernie. Open daily from 9 am to 2:30 pm you can choose whether you`re feeling breakfast or lunch type food. The menu has tons of great options and the ingredients are always fresh and delicious.


Our Recommendations: Mimosa Flight (Yes you read that right and YES.. they`re amazing), The Mushroom Pecan Burger, and The Classic Blue Plate.
The Beanpod
The Beanpod is a family run chocolate factory unlike any I have ever visited. The chocolate is made in house from imported cocao beans. You will find many creative flavors of chocolate bars and truffles all year long. The hot chocolate is to die for and they serve gelato in the summer. To top it all off they have a large variety of dairy free chocolate!


Our Recommendations: The Black Bear, The Lavender Bar, The Dark Hot Chocolate
Happy Cow
Stopping at Happy Cow for some ice cream is a MUST while in Fernie. It’s all homemade with no artificial colours or flavours. There are plenty of options to choose from including some dairy-free sorbets and cookie ice cream sandwiches. The staff are always super friendly and they are open until 10 pm in the summer!


Our Recommendations: Pura Vida Sorbet, Cookies & Cream, Ice Cream Sandwich
