The Annapurna Circuit is one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in the world! You’ll be surrounded by the massive Himalayan mountains while hiking at elevations above 4,500 m. Nepal has easily become one of our favorite countries purely because how much adventure it holds. Keep reading for 7 incredible photos of the Annapurna Circuit.
Annapurna Paddy Field
The landscape of the Annapurna Circuit changes dramatically over the course of the trek. You start out by weaving through small villages and rice paddies surrounded by jungle. These fields offer views that you wouldn`t necessarily expect; but are absolutely stunning! As you increase in elevation the climate will become much drier and the temperature will slowly start to drop.

Ngadi Waterfall
Before reaching higher elevations, you’ll be surrounded by lush rain forests and towering waterfalls. Unfortunately, these views won’t last long. Soon your be surrounded by a drier climate and much less oxygen.

Swing Bridge
You will cross several of these swing bridges along the Annapurna Circuit! We questioned the strength at first; but couldn`t help but be impressed when we saw 15 cows all standing on the same bridge.. Some bridges will cross deep ravines or beautiful blue rivers and they all seem to have incredible views!

Hills of Manang
This trek won’t just challenge you physically, it’ll test you mentally and emotionally as well. Even though Cayleigh and I have many treks under our belt, we both had several challenges along the way. Make sure to prepare as best you can and choose the right partner for the journey.

Annapurna Mountain Range
The peaks are so high that they can be hidden by clouds for long periods at a time. When they do show themselves in the morning and evening, it is truly spectacular! We found the mornings to be the best time of day to enjoy the views, before the wind picks up.

Tilicho Lake
Annapurna pictures aren’t just about huge mountains and prayer flags! Although there aren’t many alpine lakes along the Annapurna Circuit, there are some side treks that are well worth the added miles. Tilicho Lake tops that list and it`s easy to see why.

Thorong Pass Sunrise
On the last morning before crossing Thorong La Pass; you will wake up at 345 AM to get a head start on the long trek. It`s cold, windy, and dark but as that sun rises you’ll start to feel the warmth build in your body. This will most likely be the hardest day during the entire trek as the oxygen levels are at their lowest point and you are physically and mentally is exhausted.

The Annapurna Circuit offers some breathtaking places to take pictures and the trek of a lifetime. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comment below to share your experience in Nepal. We`d love to hear from you!
